Do you want to restore your gully with guidance and hands on practical demonstration of the techniques involved?Restoring an area from invasive weeds, back into native plants that suit your Gully involves creating easy access.  And knowing what to remove and what can stay.  Then, doing something with those weeds and non-native trees.  What about the bats?   When is the best time to plant the new natives and how can you ensure that they outgrow the weeds that want to be there too?  Hana can guide you through a step by step process from preparing & planting to maintaining manageable areas.

I got home late last night so wasn’t able to check out the gully, so popped down there this morning. Wow, what a difference you’ve made! I’m super impressed with all of the clearing and little areas youve started to create. The area by the creek looks so much better and I can see how putting the grass seed on the bank will keep the weeds back.

We got Hana to help us with a smallish but challenging gully project. It had lain fallow for years and was a weed-ridden shambles. She looked at the site and came up with a plan to re-contour and replant the bank. She brought along some cool ideas including re-using "found" organic material to retain the path, and collecting native seedlings from other parts of our gully to replant the bank. At this stage she's begun attacking the weeds (jasmine, honeysuckle, blackberry, milkweed, tradescantia) and outlined the contour of a new gully path. It's amazing the difference she's made in a couple of sessions. We hope to work with Hana for the next 12 months, by which time that little gully will be transformed!"
